Congrats on the baby. We just had one a month ago and believe me, September is not that far off. It's awesome though, a blessing.

I just started following you on Twitter, found your blog, looking forward to reading.

Yeah. Assuming that EA still hates their customers, it's probably going to be a way for them to charge people twice for the game, essentially penalizing early adopters with a 15 dollar thank-you fee. I'm not even sure that offering DLC is the best way to go. What I'm hoping is that this will open their eyes to better, more interesting ways of getting people into the game world early and rewarding them later. Think ilovebees with more of a tie in to the actual game once you have it. Maybe a way to gain experience points and start the game with a higher level, ally with a certain faction in the game, solve puzzles that unlock special abilities or items, start forming guilds with other players to compete in multiplayer, organize leagues in sports games, or maybe just a simple discount at the register would work. I think the point is that gamers love games, so why not use game techniques to invite them into the world of the game with things to do and rewards to gain before it's release?

Congrats on the new gig by the way...hope everything is going well out there!

Interaction may trump story, but this one seems less an interaction and more a one sided grab based on the scarcity of the the title. Shouldn't EA launch a beta version of the game or release the game in parts, rewarding feedback on the game with further content from the narrative!!!

You're waaaaaaaay to kind ... especially as most people refer to me with the date 1975, not 1985 - so I feel very mature.

You good and what would you add/say?
